Donald Campbell(Great Grandfather) came over from Scotland-possibly from an area known Kinloch-Modart in the Western Highlands of Scotland. He landed at Broad Cove(Inverness) somewhere between 1830's-40's. He worked as ShopKeeper/Store Owner in Broad Cove up until he emigrated to the Codroy Valley, Newfoundland in 1850. He is referred to as Dan Campbell in Church Records from Newfoundland & must be the same person.
He met and later married Mary Kennedy from Inverness between 1840-1849. They have two sons-John(Murdock's father and ??). John Campbell married Flora MacIsaac in 1879. Neil Campbell married Elizabeth McNeil on June 23,1908. Joe Campbell married Jessie Colford on July 18, 1916. Murdock Campbell married Catherine (Kitty)Doucette on Oct. 29, 1918. See below.
